Tuition & Policy FAQs

How is Tuition Billed?

PRE-BALLET & ADULT/TEEN TUITION:

Pre-Ballet I & II and Adult/Teen Classes run per Semester. With Fall Semester, Winter/Spring Semester and Summer Semester as 3 separate sessions; tuition is owed and payment due in full at the beginning of classes for each Semester respectively. However, for convenience and budgeting purposes we also allow families to enroll in a tuition payment plan for some classes. If paying with a payment plan, the first payment is due upon registration, and subsequent payments are billed via autopay.

REGULAR SCHOOL YEAR TUITION:

The regular school year runs from September through May, and includes Pre-Ballet III, Ballet for Boys, and the Academy Program (the Summer Session has separate programs and pricing). The Pre-Professional Program and Professional regular school year runs from September through June. Tuition for all regular school year classes is calculated per school year and tuition is owed and payment is due in full upon registration.

However, for convenience and budgeting purposes we also allow families to enroll in a tuition payment plan. If paying with a payment plan, the first payment is due upon registration, and subsequent payments are billed via autopay.

For any questions regarding school tuition policies contact the School Directors.

If tuition is not paid on time, will there be a late fee?

A $20 late fee will be charged if tuition is not paid within 10 days of the due date (Semester or Installment). The return check charge is $30.00. Tuition left unpaid for more than 30 days may result in your child being asked to sit out of class.

If a dancer misses a class is there a refund?

No refunds or deductions are made for missed classes.

What is the withdrawal/refund Policy?

Tuition is non-refundable. If a student wishes to withdraw from the school, the office requires 30 days advance written notification that the student is withdrawing. The parent or guardian will be responsible for all tuition payments past due and payments due 30 days from the date the school receives written notification of the withdrawal, even if the student is no longer training. Any prepaid tuition beyond the 30 day notice period, will be refunded.

Private Lesson Cancellation Policy

Payment is required at the time of booking for private lessons. You have a 2-hour window to cancel and receive a complete refund.

For Early Cancellations: If you cancel any private lesson (excluding New Student Evaluations and Audition Videos) over 24 hours before the scheduled time, you'll get a full credit to your account. New Student Evaluations and Audition Videos canceled over 48 hours in advance will also receive a full credit.

Late Cancellations: To avoid being charged for the full lesson, you must provide a 24-hour notice for early cancellations of regular privates and a 48-hour notice for New Student Evaluations and Audition Videos. Any cancellations made after these notice time frames are considered late cancellations and will be charged in full.

MISSED CLASS & MAKE-UP POLICY
Academy, Pre-Professional Program & Professional Division

Students with an injury must speak to a teacher or Director immediately. Injured students are usually allowed to observe class and take notes. Any missed class must first be discussed with a Director, and can be made up by taking class in a lower level or be offered another option, as determined and pre-approved by the School Directors.

Pre-Ballet & Adult/Teen Programs

Students may make-up missed class per semester/session, due to illness or family emergencies, at the discretion of the School Directors. Classes may not be available for make-up due to class sizes or class availability, but every effort will be made to accommodate the student’s needs.

CLASS CANCELLATIONS
Snow/Cold Days

Please call the studio in the event of inclement weather. Ballet Royale will make an announcement by 2:00pm on weekdays and 8:00am on Saturdays regarding school closure. If classes are canceled, a make-up or online class will be offered if practical.
